Angelina Touring London in April 2011

Angelina spent three busy days touring in London.

On the open-top double-decker bus tour of London. This is Regent Street. The flags hung across the street are for the royal wedding which is to occur in a few weeks.

She was quite interested in the walking tour of Harry Potter sites.



At first she couldn't hear the tour guide, so I suggested that she stand close to him. Thereafter she stayed close to him.



He noticed her and started asking questions. She answered them all quickly. She knows a lot about Harry Potter.



The next day we stopped at Charing Cross train station to see the Harry Potter Platform 9¾.



She stayed at the front to better hear the Beefeater tour guide at the Tower of London.



We then took the tour of the Tower Bridge.



From the pedestrian bridge high above the river this is the view looking down-river.



We also rode on the London Eye, the high wheel with observation pods. This is the view looking down at Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.



On the bridge we got a better photo of Big Ben and Parliament.



There was a Scots lad wearing a kilt and playing the bagpipes for tourist coins. After I snapped this photo and put a coin into his collection, I asked what tartan he was wearing. He said, "The ancient colors of Gordon, sir." The lower portion of the London Eye is visible in the upper left.



Angelina climbed up onto the base of the tall monument for Admiral Nelson in Trafalgar Square.
