Angelina had a birthday party with her classmates at school.

Evan, age 20 months, is very focused on whatever he is doing at any one moment.

Even had little prior experience with walking in the woods, but with characteristic focus he set out through the leaves to find out what his sister was doing.
Even is intrigued with the texture of tree bark. He then put his hands on either side of the tree to feel the bark and the size of the tree. He has very limited vocabulary that is understandable by adults, but when he looked up and saw how high the tree was, he said, "Big stick!"
We walked back to the car at dusk.
Another day we walked along the river. Angelina climbed up the hill to check in the cave under this overhanging rock. Her right foot is wet because she had gone out onto a rock at the edge of the river, and then as she returned to dry land one foot came down into a few inches of water.
Angelina climbed up the roots and rocks to look down upon the rest of us.
At another rock overhang Angelina is showing Evan and Uncle George how to climb higher up the slope.

On Christmas morning, Samantha carefully opened each gift one at a time.
She played with each present. She wanted her Mama to read each book. In this case she was playing with the doll she had unwrapped earlier while listening to her mother read.
Reading another book. There are still lots of presents under the tree to be opened, but Samantha is relishing each gift before going on to the next one.
There are a lot more gifts yet to open.
