Grandchildren in November and December 2008

We got to spend Thanksgiving with one set of grandchildren and then the week of Angelina's birthday with the other grandchildren.

Below are some pictures with a narrative beside each one. Click on an image below to see a larger version of the picture. When viewing a larger picture, clicking "Next" allows you to look at the larger pictures one at a time.

Samantha (age four and a half) and Kate (age one and a half) riding their Papa horse.

Kate is usually happy, but she can be demanding when that's her mood.

The Lego train going under the bridge.

Writing.

Thanksgiving dinner, view three.

When tummies are stuffed, it's time to play.

The girls are marching around the house using my crutches. My leg injury turned out to be a cracked leg bone near my hip. It wasn't visible in the x-rays but it healed by using crutches for two months.

Preparing, serving and eating a play meal.

Angelina (age eight) and Evan (age three and a half) have started Tae Kwon Do classes. That apparently includes meditation. Evan is on the right and Angelina is second on the left.

Warm up exercise includes running around the room.

Evan seems pleased with Tae Kwon Do.

Angelina punching the pad held by an instructor.

Evan doing a kick maneuver. He will surely learn to keep his tongue in his mouth before he gets into serious martial arts.

Angelina's birthday party with friends.

Opening presents with her friends attentively looking on.

There was also a family gift-opening.

Evan helping to unwrap a gift.

She is proud to have a grown-up game.

Possibly because I had to use crutches and wasn't playing with the children on the floor much, I unwittingly didn't come away with any pictures of two-year-old Oliver.
