On Sunday we set out from the cottage to walk westward, along paths that roughly follow the shore of the loch. The cottage we stayed in is hidden by trees, in the left-center of this photo. This village is called Inveralligin, because it is at the mouth of the Alligin Water (a small river that flowed about 50 feet behind where I was standing to take this picture). The plants in the foreground are potatoes. The hill behind the village, with cloud covering the top, is Ben Alligin, which is 3000 feet high.
