On the seventh morning we are off on our 11-mile walk from Kings House to Mamore Lodge beyond Kinlochleven. This view is looking back toward Kings House about a half mile behind us. The vastness of Rannoch Moor is evident. The modern highway can be seen crossing the River Etive and then out across Rannoch Moor. The previous day we crossed the Moor along the right side of this photo. The day prior to that we had walked among the hills on the horizon.
